Road operation, maintenance and management
As one of our main strategic objectives is to become
road operation, conservation and infrastructure specialists, we have been careful to acquire new technology for regular road conservation tasks, including the following.
Road demarcation
Road demarcation includes painting all road markings and lines to provide adequate day and night road visibility and safety to users.
Concar has purchased state of the art, high performance equipment capable of placing non-conventional, long-lasting materials for road demarcation.
Equipment: Road marker
Road fissure treatment
Road fissure treatment is the sealing of cracks or fissures on roads to prevent infiltration of water or other non-compressive materials into the base layer. This treatment protects the road from damage that is typically costly to repair.
The equipment used in fissure treatment includes sealers, compactors and routers.
Slurry seal and micropaving
An asphalt mortar provides an asphalt seal using asphalt emulsions to prevent early aging of the asphalt layer, and improve resistance to water and surface wear. Micropaving trucks are used.
Asphalt seals
An asphalt seal is made up of a layer of dry aggregates placed on an existing road surface on top of a first layer of bituminous material (either asphalt emulsion or asphalt cement). The goal is to prevent the aging of the existing asphalt layer or building a new rolling surface. The equipment used includes priming trucks, pneumatic rollers and aggregate sprayers.
This new technology is expected to increase our specialization in road operations and further provide our personnel an opportunity to grow and develop personally, thanks to their training for and use of state of the art equipment.
